Manassas Journal Messenger | Baby dies from crash injuries
A 4-month-old girl died Wednesday evening from injuries sustained in an auto accident outside Haymarket on Wednesday morning, Prince William County police said.
Hanna Kareen’s mother, Tera Jamal Aziz, 33, of 14288 Town Commons Way, near Haymarket, drove her 1997 Nissan Pathfinder into a tractor-trailer around 7:50 a.m. while trying to make a left turn onto John Marshall Highway from Catharpin Road, said Detective Dennis Mangan, police spokesman.
Aziz pulled in front of a Volvo tractor-trailer driven by a 58-year-old Salem man.
Aziz, Kareen and 3-year-old Lara Kareen were flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital. Aziz was in critical condition Thursday, police said, but Lara was treated and released with minor injuries Wednesday.
The crash slowed rush-hour traffic.
