Thieves hit Manassas man twice in two days

A 25-year-old Manassas man told police that two protective covers for his 2001 white Suzuki GSXR160 were stolen during a three-day period last week while the motorcycle was parked in the 9200 block of Veridan Drive in Manassas, said Manassas Police spokesman Dave Lane.

The victim told police the first black, silver and blue cover was stolen sometime Wednesday night, Lane said.

The man then bought a black and gray replacement cover with a lock and cable, which was stolen sometime Thursday night or Friday morning, Lane said.

The man told police the value of the items was estimated at $221, Lane said.
