Master Sgt. Bruce Davis, 82, of Richmond, died Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001 at McGuire Veterans Hospital.
Davis was born in Campbellsville, Ky. He was a World War II veteran who retired from the Air Force after 20 years of dedicated service. His awards include: the World War II Victory Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Medal, and the Air Force Commendation Medal. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #120, the Disabled American Veterans and the Non Comissioned Retired Officers Association.
He is predeceased by his mother Ruby Gaines.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Davis, three sons, Bruce L. Davis of Los Angeles, Greggory B. Davis of Manassas; Preston K. Davis of Bloomfield Conn.; two daughters, Shirl Dunlap of Richmond, Rogenia Davis of Brooklyn, N.Y.; brother, Joseph Davis, sister, Jane Adams both of Springfield, Ill; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City. Funeral services will take place at 1 p. m. Tuesday at the Fort Myer Chapel, Ft. Myer. Interment to follow at Arlington National Cemetery.

Pearl Mae Johnson
Pearl Mae Johnson, 52, of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Inova Fairfax Hospital.
She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Calverton.
She is survived by her husband, Roy W. Johnson of Fredericksburg; three daughters, Lorraine Thorne of Fredericksburg, Tina McCanick of Manassas and Angel Johnson of Bealeton; one sister, Mary Lucas of Purcellville; two brothers, Frederick Young of Sterling and Irving Young of Fredericksburg; four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 4440 Catlett Road, Calverton, where a funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Robert L. Jones presiding. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.

Elise V. Johnson
Elise Vivian Johnson, 44, of Herndon, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2001, at Reston Hospital Center, Reston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Raymond C. Johnson Sr.
She is survived by four sisters, Myrtle R. Johnson and Terrie L. Johnson, both of Falls Church, Melissa Robinson of Aldie, and Nina Sue Fields of Winchester; five brothers, Ronald Q. Johnson and Raymond C. Johnson Jr., both of Leesburg, Rodney C. Johnson and Ivan B. Johnson, both of Fairfax, and Byron G. Johnson of Manassas; and many other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 11 a.m. Monday at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 24337 Old Carolina Road, Aldie, where a funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Garrett Jackson presiding, the Rev. Chester L. Banks, Pastor. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Park, Aldie.

Patricia A. Couton
Patricia Ann Couton, 69, of Fredericksburg, died Friday, Nov. 23, 2001, at Beverly Health Care Center of Fredericksburg.
She was a member of St. Josephat Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxillary, both in Nebraska.
She is survived by three sons, Robert D. Couton, of Wahoo, Neb., Richard D. Couton of Crocker, N.J., and Michael W. Couton of Fredericksburg; one daughter, Suzan A. Obermiller of Arcadia, Neb.; two brothers, Charles B. Fahey of Diamond Bar, Calif. and James D. Fahey of Haymarket; one sister, Mary M. Bailey of Concord, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Josephat Catholic Church, Loup City, Neb. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery, Loup City, Neb.

Elinor G. Melton
Elinor Griffith Melton, 85, of Nokesville, formerly of Exmore, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Prince William Hospital, Manassas.
She was born January 28, 1916, in Allen, Md., the daughter of the late Robert and Susan Messick Griffith. She was a member of St. Georges Episcopal Church, Exmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvis Kermit Melton, who died in 1958.
She is survived by two daughters, Marianne Goetting of Nokesville and Robin Hickman of Exmore; one sister, Mary Payne of Allen, Md.; and four grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Hampton National Cemetery, Hampton.

Virginia C. Hill
Virginia Carter Hill, 101, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2001, at Westminster at Lake Ridge.
She had been a resident of Prince William County for most of her life. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge and was also a retired teacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carleton Y. Hill.
She is survived by her daughter, Erlyst Rae Brandon of Richmond; three sons, Frank M. Hill of Pompton Lakes, N.J., David C. Hill of Tamarac, Fla., and Carleton Y. Hill Jr. of Palm Coast, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Fred Parish officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.
Paul Burke
Paul E. Burke, 67, died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Prince William Hospital, Woodbridge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert I. and Tessie B. Burke; his wife, Betty Ann Burke; and one son, Paul Burke Jr.
He is survived by one daughter, Sharon Devers of Linden; one son, William Burke of Manassas; and three granddaughters.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Blasius-Baker Funeral Home, 9320 West St., Manassas. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Baker Chapel. Interment will follow at Bradley Forest Cemetery.
