Turner T. Smith Sr.

Turner Taliaferro Smith Sr., died Wednesday, Oct. 17, at his home, Greenwood Farm, near Haymarket.

He is survived by his son, Turner Taliaferro Smith Jr. of Middleburg; his daughters, Glenore Fisk Smith of Manassas, Jaquelin Smith Gotlieb of Stone Mountain, Ga., Josephine Pendleton Smith Strickler of Richmond and Emily Taliaferro Smith Rappold of Fairfax; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at St. Pauls Episcopal Church , 6760 Fayette St., Haymarket, with the Rev. David N. Jones officiating.

Estelle I. Romanchak

Estelle I. Romanchak, 92, of Haymarket died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2001, at Prince William Hospital, Manassas.

She was a member of St. Dominic Church in Brick Town, N.J., and All Saints Catholic Church, Manassas. She was a school teacher in Jersey City for 35 years where she taught mostly at School No. 27 as a first grade teacher, retiring in 1973.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, John Romanchak.

She is survived by one niece, Carolyn Wyrsch of Haymarket; one nephew, Dr. Gilbert Irwin of Manassas; six grandnieces and two grandnephews.

The family will receive friends from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home, 267 Centre St., Nutley, N.J. The funeral liturgy will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Marys Catholic Church, Nutley, with the Rev. Hubba officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, N.J.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Medical Missionaries, c/o Dr. Gilbert Irwin, 9590 Surveyor Court, Manassas, VA 20110, in memory of Estelle I. Romanchak.

Theodore “Ted” Magos

Theodore “Ted” Magos, 75, of Springfield, formerly of White Sulpher Springs, W.Va., died.

He is survived by one child, Leslie Magos; and three brothers, Harold and Don Magos and Henry Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 7600 Old Keene Mill Road, Springfield, where Mass will be held at noon.

Interment will full military honor will be held at Quantico National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Monday.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 1995, c/o Theodore “Ted” Magos, P.O. Box 300, Centreville, VA 20112.

Arrangements are by Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Woodbridge.
