Delphia McNeil

Delphia Lee McNeil, 83, of Woodbridge died Thursday, July 18, 2002, at her home.

She moved to Woodbridge in 1968 and was a member of Our Lady of Angel’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sherman W. McNeil; and her son James Davies. She is survived by her one daughter, Angela McNeil-Lambert of Montclair; two sons, Wyatt Wood and James Raymer both of Woodbridge; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Viewing is Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road in Woodbridge.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Mountcastle Funeral Home.

The Rev. Carr will officiate. Interment will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery. Arrangements are by Mountcastle Funeral Home.

Samuel Thomas

Samuel Thomas, Sr., 87, of Haymarket died July 18, 2002, at Prince William Hospital, Manassas. He was a trustee of Olive Branch Baptist Church where he served as an usher. He also was on the Cemetery and Church Grounds Committee for many years.

He is survived by five sons, Samuel R. L., Charles Haywood, Larry W. all of Haymarket, Greylin L. of Manassas and James of Centreville; one daughter, Delores T. Duffin of Centreville; four sisters, Mable Coleman, Margaret Dorsey, Christine Webb, all of Washington, D.C. and Hydine Terrell of Philadelphia; two brothers, Charles of Rector Town and Arthur of Falls Church; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Olive Baptist Church, 4203 Mountain Road, Haymarket.

Friends will be received at 10 a.m. Dr. George W. Farmer, Jr. will preside. Interment will follow at the Olive Branch Cemetery. Arrangements are by AMES of Manassas.

Marjorie Partlow

Marjorie Smith Partlow, 91, of Gainesville died Friday, July 19, 2002, at Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton.

She was born May 22, 1911, in Gainesville. She is the daughter of the late Robert Ashton and Ida Pearson. She was a retired postmaster with the Gainesville Post Office.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Charles B. Smith and William C. Partlow; one daughter, Linda S. Ait; two sisters, Myrtle Griffith and Louise Davis; and three brothers, Willard Pearson, Raymond Pearson and Jack Pearson.

Survivors include one daughter, Anne S. (Denis) Ayres of Gainesville; seven grandchildren, Chuck Ayres, Scott Ayres, Sheila A. Rollins, Rodney Ayres, Lisa A. Larson, Michele A. Anderson and John Ait; and 14 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday. Interment will follow at Gainesville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Gainesville.
