OmniRide stops change in lake ridge

The PRTC will move two OmniRide bus stops on the Lake Ridge route, said PRTC spokeswoman Kris Kjome.

Morning riders will still be able to catch the bus at the Lake Ridge commuter lot at the intersection of Old Bridge and Minnieville roads, but the afternoon drop-off will be moved across Minnieville Road, Kjome said.

The Virginia Department of Transportation has installed a traffic signal, a pedestrian crosswalk and directional signs to help pedestrians safely return to their cars, Kjome said.

The morning pick-up at the Tackett’s Mill commuter lot will remain the same, but afternoon riders will be dropped off on the other side of Tackett’s Mill Road, Kjome said.

There is a crosswalk at the new afternoon stop that passengers can use to return to their cars in the commuter lot, Kjome said.

Finally, the OmniRide H Street bus stops that were changed following Sept. 11 will return to their original locations, Kjome said.
