A 31-year-old Gainesville man was shot and killed Monday evening in Oxon Hill, Md., and authorities have yet to determine the circumstances that led to the killing, a Prince George’s County police spokeswoman said.

Police found Isaac Young Jr., of the 14000 block of Lee Highway, dead from a single gunshot wound to the upper body around 7 p.m. in the 6200 block of Oxon Hill Road, said Cpl. Debbie Carlson, department spokeswoman.

“Right now there’s no new information,” Carlson said Thursday. “We have not determined what [Young] was doing in the area at the time of the shooting.”

Police said they did not get any detailed descriptions of the suspects.
