Traffic stop yields cocaine on Old Triangle Road

Police arrested a 44-year Dumfries-area man at 11:34 p.m. after a traffic stop Wednesday at Old Triangle Road and Woodland Drive, said Detective Dennis Mangan, Prince William police spokesman.

During the arrest, police found that William Francis Fisher, of 18144 Kilmer Lane in Triangle, was charged with failure to appear in court in Fairfax County for driving with a suspended license, Mangan said.

Police took Fisher into custody, searched him and found him in possession of six rocks of cocaine, Mangan said.

Fisher was charged with driving on a suspended and possession with intent to distribute cocaine, Mangan said.

He was held without bond, Mangan, said.

Armed robbers steal money and cell phone

A 62-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint in the parking lot of East Coast Billiards in Marumsco Plaza at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, said Detective Dennis Mangan, Prince William police spokesman.

A black man approached the man with a gun as he left the pool hall in Woodbridge, Mangan said.

The victim told police the man took his money and cell phone, Mangan said.

The man who robbed the 62-year-old was 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. He wore dark pants with a dark shirt and a black hat. He had a light beard, Mangan said.

Neighbors hear burglary near Powells Creek

Neighbors heard car windows breaking at Georgetown Road and Wetherburn Court, between 11:55 p.m. Tuesday and 12:09 Wednesday, and called police, said Detective Dennis Mangan, Prince William police spokesman.

A subwoofer, an amplifier and a radio worth a total of $300 was stolen from a Honda in the neighborhood near Powells Creek. A compact disc player and compact discs worth $210 were stolen from a Nissan, Mangan said.

Witness saw two men leave the scene, Mangan said.

Witnesses told police that one of the men was black, 15 to 25 years old, 6 feet tall and wore white pants and a dark jacket with a hood.

The second man was also black, Mangan said.

Police searched the area and found the property stolen from the Honda near a fence near Georgetown Road, Mangan said.

The front windows of both cars were broken during the burglary, Mangan said.

Clerk robbed in K-Mart

on Dale Boulevard

A 30-year-old check-out clerk was robbed inside the K-Mart on Dale Boulevard at 5:11 p.m. Wednesday, said Detective Dennis Mangan, Prince William police spokesman.

The clerk told police a man got in line with small women’s purse he acted as if he was going to buy, Mangan said.

When he got to the register, the robber who was missing his bottom teeth made a gesture to signify that he had a gun, Mangan said.

The clerk said she never saw a weapon.

The robber, a 35- to 40-year-old, 5-foot-8-inch, 180-pound black man, took the money from the register and left the store, Mangan said.

The victim told police the man wore a black wool hat, a black sweatshirt and blue jeans, Mangan said.

Two men rob Sleep Inn motel in Dumfries

Two men — one wearing a ski mark and the other wearing a blue bandanna over his face — robbed a Dumfries motel Dec. 3, according to Dumfries Police Lt. Ronald Mackey.

The men approached the counter of the Sleep Inn, 14470 Jefferson Davis Highway, at about 3:10 p.m. One was allegedly carrying an automatic rifle. The men jumped over the counter and demanded money, Mackey said.

After taking $799 in cash, the men ordered the clerk to lay on the back room floor while they fled on foot, Mackey said.

Four gang members rob, beat former member

Four gang members robbed and beat a former member Saturday night near Va. 234 and Interstate 95, Mackey said. He was beaten enough to be sent to the hospital.

The victim was lured to a common area by one of the men at about 10:30 p.m. Shortly after he arrived, the victim was confronted by the three other men who were hiding nearby. The victim told Dumfries police that he owed at least one of the four men about $200 from a prior drug sale, Mackey said.

The victim was ordered to take off all of his clothes and was then robbed of his empty wallet and the football jersey he had been wearing. The suspects beat and kicked the victim for about 15 minutes. Before leaving, two of the suspects took pictures of the victim while the other two held him up on his feet. The victim was then left unconscious on the ground, Mackey said.

The victim was transported to Potomac Hospital where he was admitted for numerous injuries to his face and body. His current condition is not known, Mackey said.

Three of the four suspects were located shortly after the incident and arrested by Dumfries Police.

Alberto Alejo Armesto, 21, of 15730 Tassle Ford Lane Woodbridge, Scoot Travis May, 19, of 16935 Point Pleasant Lane, Dumfries and Sam Lee Paynter, 21, of 2670 Penbarry Court No. 102 in Woodbridge, were charged with malicious wounding by a mob, robbery and participating in street gang activity. All three are being held without bond, Mackey said.

Dumfries Police are looking for the fourth suspect, Louis Edward Aragonez, 20, of no fixed address, Mackey said.
