Manassas Journal Messenger | Liberty Memorial fund gets donations

Thanks to two contributions, the 9/11 Liberty Memorial fund rose to $176,422.03 this week.

Col. William and Patricia Price of Lake Ridge along with an anonymous donor from Woodbridge contributed to the effort to raise $300,000 to build a memorial to the 22 Prince William area residents who died Sept. 11, 2001.

The memorial is to be built on the ground of the McCoart Building along Prince William Parkway. It will include a pool of water in the shape of a pentagon with two fountains of water and a walkway made from Pennsylvania flagstone.

For more information about the Liberty Memorial, visit its Web site at http://www.pwlibertymemorial.org. The Web site can also receive secure online contributions.

Donation can also be made at the Potomac News or Manassas Journal Messenger offices, or they can be mailed to 4370 Ridgewood Center Drive, Suite B, Prince William, VA 22192. Checks should be made out to PWCCC Liberty Memorial. Donations are tax-deductible.
