James Patrick “J.P.” Daly III, 7 weeks, of Woodbridge died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Children’s National Medical Center, Washington, D.C. He was born May 15, 2002 in Woodbridge.
He is survived by his parents, Andrea and James Daly; one sister, Patricia Denise Daly of the home; his paternal grandparents, Marisela Lopez of Puerto Rico, James P. Daly Sr. of Staten Island, N.Y., Sarah Daly of Staten Island, N.Y and Andres Delgado of Puerto Rico; his maternal grandparents, Marilen and Frederick Beaman of Dumfries; his paternal great-grandmother, Rosa Julia Rodriquez of Puerto Rico; his maternal great-grandparents, Elenita and William Malkemes of Newport News and Helen Beaman of Pompton Lakes, N.J.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Stafford Memorial Park with the Rev. Gene Pistachio officiating.

Ruby M. Goad, 82, died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at her residence in Woodbridge. She was a very devoted member of Marsh Road Baptist Church in Woodbridge.
Preceeded in death by her husband Marvin Goad, she is survived by her two daughters Pat Basso and her husband Michael of Woodbridge and Marilyn Bowie and her husband John of Annandale; one son Jim Goad and his wife Betty of Bowling Green; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Marsh Road Baptist Church, 1514 Marsh Road, Woodbridge with Rev. Billy Shepard officiating. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park in Falls Church.

Mary Elizabeth Isenberg, 88, of Amelia and formerly of Huntington West Virginia died Friday, July 5, 2002 at Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Amelia. She was the widow of Arthur Vernon Isenberg.
Born May 30, 1914 in South Norfolk, she was the daughter of the late Augustus Jackson Davis and Sarah Elizabeth Jackson Davis.
She is survived by three children, Winifred Shoemaker, Vida Curry and Duran Isenberg; one sister, Carrie Dorris; many beloved half brothers and sisters; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.
She was preceeded in death by her son, James Isenberg and a brother, A.J. Davis.
The family received friends at Money & King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, on Monday, July 8 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Berea Church of Christ, 8817 Leesburg Pike, Vienna, today at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park.

Mary Cozart Moriarty, 76, a long-time resident of Northern Virginia, died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at home. She was a former research chemist. She had suffered from Alzheimer’s disease for 19 years.
Mrs. Moriarty was born July 6, 1926 in Charleston, W.Va. to the late William and Lillian Groom Cozart. She graduated from Ohio Dominican College in Columbus, Ohio. She worked as a research chemist for the Union Carbide Company in Charleston and then for the National Bureau of Standards and Harris Research Laboratories.
She had lived in Washington’s Chevy Chase and then after marriage lived in Alexandria for 40 years and then in Manassas for the last four years. Before her illness she was deeply involved in the activities of her five children, especially those related to sports, horses and dogs. She also was active in the Virginia Democratic Party and in the Fairfax County Historical Association. She and her husband owned and operated a beef cattle farm in the Shenandoah Valley for 38 years. At the time of her death she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manassas.
She is survived by her husband, John K. Moriarty of Manassas; five children, Kathleen Moriarty of Washington, D.C., John K. Moriarty Jr. of Reading, Pa., Annette Samsky and Julie Moriarty, both of Manassas, and Marian Lewis of Exton, Pa.; and 13 grandchildren.
Delbert Gerald Putze, 68, of Manassas died Thursday, July 4, 2002 at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. He retired from the U.S. Army in August 1973.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Edith A. Putze of Manassas; one daughter, Patricia Guilford of Davidson, Md.; two sons, Gerald Putze of Spotsylvania and Peter Putze of Spotsylvania; three granddaughters, Jenny, Kelly and Michelle Putze; one great-granddaughter, Alyssa Putze; and two brothers, Joe Putze of Arkansas and Marvin Putze of Arizona.
The service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Marine Memorial Chapel at Marine Corps Base Quantico. Interment with honors will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.

Lydia L. Robinson, 84, of Manassas, died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at her home. She was an active member of Manassas Seventh Day Adventist.
Mrs. Robinson was preceded in by her husband, Walter H. Robinson; her father, Gustav Bleich; and her mother, Amelia Bleich. She is survived by her daughter, Phyllis Maiden of Manassas; her sister, Helen Rotter of Roslyn, Pa.; her brother Albert Bleich of Nicholson, Pa.; and two grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m Thursday at Banner Hill Cemetery in Willow Grove, Pa.

Gerardo San Luis Sr., 83, of Woodbridge, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Potomac Hospital.
A resident of Woodbridge for more than 30 years, he coached local soccer for 20 years. He was retired from the U.S. Army after more than 30 years and went on to retire from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, a 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus Kelly Council 5750, a former POW who survived the Death March of Bataan, a guerilla of the Philippine scouts and a bronze star recipient.
Survivors include his wife, Remedious P. San Luis; five sons, Jerry San Luis Jr., Richard San Luis and Frederick San Luis, all of Woodbridge, Alan San Luis of Georgia, and Michael San Luis of West Virginia; one daughter, Elizabeth McNulty; two sisters, Marcelina Sunga and Grace San Luis, both of Canada; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends called at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd. on Monday from 5-9 p.m. A Catholic wake service was held at 7 p.m Monday. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 13752 Marys Way, Woodbridge, today at 10:30 a.m., the Rev. Carr presiding.
Interment with full military honors will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle.

Raymond Lee Tolson, 75, died Sunday, July 7, 2002 at Potomac Hospital in Woodbridge.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel Tolson of Woodbridge; two daughters, Linda Hawkins of Woodbridge and Janie Hill of Grier, S.C.; three sons, Raymond Tolson Jr. of Richmond, Robert Tolson of Manassas and Richard Tolson of Stafford; 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren;
Mr. Tolson was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a charter member, for 49 years. He served two years in the U.S. Navy and later received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from George Washington University. He was a teacher and administrator for the Arlington County school system for 33 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a passion for gardening.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City. The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church, 15880 Crest Drive, Woodbridge. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.

Grace Mable Ward, 67, died Friday, July 5, 2002 at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. Carl and Grace Anne (nee Holling) Moore; and one daughter, Susan Deaton.
She is survived by two daughters, Jenifer and her husband Robert Taylor of Front Royal, and Diana Ward of Manassas; two sisters, Mary Ann Moore and Janet Shimmel of Philipsburg, Pa.; two grandsons, Joshua Deaton of Hong Kong and Robert Taylor of Front Royal; one nephew, James Shimmel of Philipsburg; and two nieces, Jill Shimmel of Philipsburg and Julie Shimmel of Erie, Pa.
Mrs. Ward was a board director (treasurer) of S.C.O.R.E. and a member of the Eastern Star.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Blasius-Baker Funeral Home, 9320 West St., Manassas. The service be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 9325 West St. with the Rev. Stuart Schadt officiating. Interment will follow at Woodbine Baptist Church Cemetery in Manassas.

Harry Warder, 70, of Woodbridge, died Monday, July 1, 2002 at Northern Virginia Community Hospital in Arlington.
Mr. Warder is preceeded in death by his father Tillman Warder; mother Roberta Warder; brother Walter Warder and his wife Sarah of Binghamton, New York.

Doris “Sis” Elizabeth Williams, 73, died Friday, July 5, 2002, at her home in Woodbridge.
She was a member of Neabsco Baptist Church, Woodbridge. She retired from the U.S. government.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Corrine Bell Williams of Woodbridge.
She is survived by one son, Richard E. Williams and his wife Daisy of Woodbridge; three daughters, Barbara Ann Williams of Woodbridge, Margaret E. Parham and her husband William of Carson, and Pauline Habeebullah of Richmond; two brothers, Charles H. Williams and his wife Frances of Triangle and Albert J. Williams of New York, N.Y.; 19 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Neabsco Baptist Church, 15557 Cardinal Drive, Woodbridge, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Winston Lee will preside. Interment will follow at Stafford Memorial Park, Stafford.
