Herbert Baumert

Herbert Paul Baumert, 85, of Manassas, died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at Annaburg Manor in Manassas.

He was a member of the Lions Club in Sanford, N.C.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Tallbott Baumert.

Survivors include his children, Carole Fisher of Hume, Patricia Cross of Hurleyville, N.Y.; grandchildren and great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lee Funeral Home, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas.

Interment will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Caton Merchant Home, Manassas.

Sarah Hixon

Sarah Jane Hixon, 92, of Woodbridge, died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at her daughter’s home in Fredericksburg.

She was a resident of the Fellowship House in Woodbridge.

Wife of 33 years to the late William K. Hixon, she is survived by her daughter, Glory J. Buckner; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, with prayer service at 8 p.m., the Rev. Doug Duty officiating.

Interment will take place Tuesday at Monongahela Cemetery in Monongahela, Pa.

Ronald Liming

Ronald “Ronnie” Ivan Liming, 59, of Triangle, died on Friday, July 5, 2002, at Hospice of Northern Virginia.

He was a lifelong resident of Prince William County and worked at Finn Auto Body as an auto body technician.

Preceded in death by his son, Ronald Liming Jr., he is survived by his wife, Diann Liming of Triangle; daughters, Kim King of South Hill and Tricia Anderson of Lynchburg; stepdaughters, Wyndy Kenny of Manassas, Dawn Abrassart of Stafford and Sue Ann Dietrich of Manassas; stepsons, Wayne Neely of Triangle; sisters, Mildred Gice and Edna Mae Grover, both of Alexandria and Annie Berrios of Dale City; brothers, Gilbert Liming of Alexandria and Clinton Liming of Freeman; close friend Bob Matthews; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call between 2 and 4 p.m. and 6 and 9 p.m. Sunday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, where services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow at Dumfries Cemetery in Dumfries.

Cynthia McLune

Cynthia McLune, 56, of Manassas, died Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Prince William Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Joel McLune of Manassas; children, Sandra Stewart McLune and Tanica McLune, both of Bristow, and Marcia McLune of London, England; her sister, Minerva Brown of Canada; her brother, John Battiese; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas.

Interment will be private.

William Mansfield Jr.

William Joseph Mansfield Jr., 45, of Manassas, died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at the Georgetown University Hospital.

He was a member of Friday Night Out Bowling Team.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki L. Mansfield of Manassas, whom he married on Sept. 22, 1984, in Perry, N.Y.; his mother, Mary Carter of Baltimore; children, William Joseph Mansfield III and Marcus Livingston Mansfield, both of Manassas; his sister, Pam Moore of Baltimore; his brothers, Jordan Young of Winchester, Rusty Carter of Durham, N.C. and Joey Carter of Savannah, Ga.; one nephew, Bobby Moore of Alexandria; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Lee Funeral Home, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Wildlife Federation.

Margaret Pearson

Margaret L. Pearson, 73, of Manassas, died Wednesday, July 3, 2002, at Prince William Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard D. Pearson.

Survivors include sons, Howard F. Pearson of Sterling and Michael E. Pearson of Ashburn and daughter, Joyce A. Presley of Manassas; siblings, Robert Sisson and Lester Sisson, both of Manassas, Charles Sisson and Barbara Caylor, both of Sterling, Mary Casciano of Broad Run Farms and Patricia Collins of Manassas; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St., Herndon, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment will follow at Sterling Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

Hilda Taylor

Hilda Mae Taylor, 77, of Alexandria, died Friday, July, 5, 2002, at Mount Vernon Nursing Center.

A resident of Alexandria for most of her life, she was a homemaker.

Preceded in death by her parents, David E. and Myrtle L. Tesh, and one brother, Jerry Tesh, she is survived by her husband of 52 years, John W. Taylor of Alexandria; one daughter, Jody L. Taylor of Lorton; one son, John D. Taylor of Alexandria; two sisters, Christine Dorsett and Wanda Allred, both of Lexington, N.C.; three brothers, David Tesh of Lexington, Don Tesh of Salisbury, N.C., and Charles Tesh of Moravian Falls, N.C.; and two grandchildren, Ross M. Taylor of Lorton and Nicholas R. Marra of Charlestown, W.Va.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Cunningham-Mountcastle Funeral Home, 13318 Occoquan Road, Woodbridge, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday.

Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery, Manassas.
