Baseball Factory

The Baseball Factory, a college placement service for high school baseball players, is conducting a one-day showcase event for players in the Baltimore/Washington region. Basketball Training

The Hoop Booth school of basketball is offering year-round training for boys and girls ages 6 through 17. The program is designed for basic training and intermediate training. U-10 Prince William Pacers

Boys Basketball Camp

A boys basketball camp will be held at the Chinn Aquatics and Fitness Center from August 14-18. The times are 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the camp fee is $90 per session with a $25 deposit due by July 13 for session 2. Boys ages 8-15 may attend. Greater Manassas Football League

Fall tackle football league for ages 5-14 (as of Jan. 1, 2001) is currently holding registration on Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. till July 25 and on Saturdays from 11 a.m.-noon till July 28. Manassas Park High School will hold physicals for 2001 fall sports on July 23 at 6 p.m. in the fitness center. The cost is $20, and checks can be made payable to Dr. Fred Parker. Osbourn will hold final physicals for the fall season at 3 p.m. on July 26 and Aug. 9 at the high school. The physical examination forms, which can picked up at the high school, should be completed by a parent and then taken to the exam. The cost of the exam is $20 and any checks should be made payable to the Eagle Athletic Fund.

Learn to Row Crew Camp

Childrens sports camp

There will be a sports camp for 6-12 year-olds from July 30-Aug. 3 at Springwoods Elementary School. Each session is from 5-8 p.m. Sports choices include soccer, cheerleading, in-line hockey and basketball. (children playing basketball must be at least 8 years old). The sessions will also include t-shirts, Bible time, take-home Bible studies and snacks. Junior Olympic Camps

Clash Junior Olympic Volleyball Club is offering various summer volleyball camps in July and August for rising sixth- through 12th-graders. The high school camp will be held from July 16-19. Middle school camps will be be held July 16-19, Aug. 20-23 and Aug. 27-30. Camps are held at the Manassas Armory (Prince William Fairgrounds) and are open to all levels of players. Camp staff includes Dan Jones, Forest Park coach; Shannon Shannon, Clash Junior Olympic Director; and Kate Southcott, Osbourn Park head coach.
