Key losses: F Chavonne Thomas, C Tina Aramburu (volleyball signee with Maryland for 2003-04), G Haley Smith (ankle injury)

Player to watch: Toneisha Seward, a 5-5 senior, returns to run the point. Glenn, the new coach, was impressed this summer and in the preseason with the effort from Seward and the rest of the team. Taking over a struggling team is nothing new to coach Glenn. In his one year (2001-02) as the junior varsity boys coach at Park View-South Hill, the team improved from three wins to 19.

Player to watch: Julia Harris, a 5-7 junior guard who averaged a team-high 11.1 points per game last season.

Player to watch: Tierra Bumbry, a 5-6 junior guard who was all-district last season and averaged team-high 10.8 points per game.

Key losses: C Megan Vrabel (13.4 ppg, all-district), F Lindsey Jones, G Becky Johnson, G Shanna Hylton, F Brittany Lee, F Sarah Zoric

Player to watch: Hanna Taylor, a 5-foot-9 senior guard-forward, who was second-team all-district in 2001-02. Hinckley, the new coach, has been a varsity assistant for three years (and in the program for five), so she already knows Taylors game.
