policeA Provident Bank inside the Shopper’s Food Warehouse on Shopper’s Best Way was robbed at 12:28 p.m. Thursday, said 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn, Prince William police spokeswoman.
A man in his 40s came into the bank, passed a note to the woman behind the counter and took money, Chinn said.
“There were no weapons displayed,” Chinn said.
The 6-foot-1-inch, 180-pound white man who robbed the bank wore a tan or copper colored jacket, Chinn said.
He had brown hair and wore glasses, Chinn said.

Callers do not have to give their names or testify in court and may receive up to $1,000 for information that results in an arrest.
