Two people charged with possession of drugs

Two Fredericksburg residents were arrested for alleged drug possession at 1:02 a.m.Tuesday during a traffic stop at Gordon Boulevard and Old Bridge Road, said Detective Dennis Mangan. Prince William police spokesman.

Police said Lester Eugene White, 43, of 1918 New Kent Drive, and Lashell Quentina Grigsby, 34, of 902 Lafayette Blvd., each had cocaine and marijuana.

Grigsby’s 4-year-old daughter was in the car at the time of the arrest. She was released to a relative, Mangan said.

White and Grigsby were each held in lieu of $2,500 bond and have a court date of July 13, Mangan said.

County man charged with marijuana possession

Police arrested a Dumfries-area man and charged him with possession of marijuana after he was stopped for driving under the influence at 9 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. 1 and Dumfries Road, said Detective Dennis Mangan, Prince William police spokesman.

Police charged Jonathan William Fields, 20, of 4246 Wilkshire Place with possession of marijuana and driving under the influence, Mangan said.

Bond and court date information were not available.

Prince William County police reported the following incidents:

• An AM/FM stereo worth $300 was stolen from a 1996 Hyundai parked in the 12400 block of Silent Wolf Drive in the Hoadly area between 9 p.m. Sunday and 6:20 a.m. Monday.

• A black Mongoose BMX-style bicycle worth $200 was stolen from a fenced back yard of a home in the 14300 block of Silverdale Drive in Dale City between 4 p.m. on April 14 and 4 p.m. on April 21.

• There were three attempted burglaries at three houses in the 3000 block of Pony Ridge Turn, in the Dumfries area, between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Screens were damaged and pulled from the windows at each of the homes.

There was no entry gained to any of the homes.

• The rear sliding-glass door of a home in the 7600 block of Sommerset Lane in the Yorkshire area was shattered between March 31 at 4 p.m. and Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Nothing was missing from the home.
