Man charged with making false police report
Jared Thomas Palmer, 18, of 3263 John Robinson Lane, Apt. 14, in the Woodbridge area was charged with filing a false police report around 1:10 a.m. Wednesday, said Officer John Bogert, Prince William police spokesman.
Palmer called police to report that he had been a victim of an armed robbery, Bogert said. Officers noticed inconsistencies in his story and when confronted about it he admitted to police he had been lying.
Palmer has a Dec. 13 court date. No bond information was available.
Triangle man charged with disorderly conduct, escape
Corey Russell Tayon Pulley, 30, of 4123 Southway Lane, Apt. 63, in Triangle was charged with disorderly conduct and escape with force in the 4100 block of Southway Lane around 2:05 a.m. Wednesday, said Officer John Bogert, Prince William police spokesman.
Officers were responding to a 911 call about a disturbance and saw a man who police knew was wanted on an outstanding warrant standing on a second-story balcony, Bogert said. Police went to arrest him, Bogert said, but he got away, jumping from the balcony and fleeing on foot, Bogert said. Shortly after police found and arrested Pulley.
Pulley was held in lieu of a $4,500 bond and has a Nov. 28 court date.
Woman charged with assaulting police officer
Anna Frances Fine, 20, of 15718 Cranberry Court in Montclair was charged with assaulting a police officer and obstruction of justice after slapping an officer in the face near the intersection of Smoketown Road and Foulger Square around 1 p.m. Monday, said Officer John Bogert, Prince William police spokesman.
Police were at the scene of a traffic accident, Bogert said, and attempted to arrest one of the drivers for driving on a revoked license. When the driver refused to get out of the car, an officer opened the door and the driver slapped him in the face.
Fine was held in lieu of a $1,500 bond. No court date was available.
The officer was not injured.
Manassas man attacked while getting into his car
A 27-year-old Manassas man was attacked in the 4100 block of Cheshire Station Plaza in Dale City between 3:45 and 4:15 a.m. Saturday, said Officer John Bogert, Prince William police spokesman.
The victim was getting out of his car in a parking lot when someone struck him from behind and attempted to go through his pockets, Bogert said. The assailant did not get anything and fled on foot.
The victim was transported to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries, Bogert said, and could not describe the two people who assaulted him.
Arby’s employee charged in theft of credit card
Limata M. Bello, 18, of 10045 Orland Stone Drive in the Bristow area was charged with credit card theft while working at the Arby’s fast food restaurant in the 12800 block of the Braemar Village Plaza around 9:21 p.m. Sunday, said Officer John Bogert, Prince William police spokesman.
Police said Bello was seen taking a person’s wallet, which contained a credit card that had been left on a counter.
No bond information or court date was available.
Middle school locked down, armed robbery reported
Godwin Middle School, 14800 Darbydale Ave., in Dale City operated in shelter-in-place mode from around 3:52 to 4:14 p.m. Thursday because of a reported armed robbery in the area, according to Prince William County Public Schools.
Prince William police did not have any information on the robbery.
Man charged with malicious wounding
Wayne Thomas Roberts, 25, of 14135 Estate Manor Drive in the Gainesville area was charged with malicious wounding after police were called to a stabbing progress in the 14100 block of Estate Manor Drive around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday, said Sharon Richardson, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Police arrived at the scene and found a man in the street and transported him to an area hospital where he is being treated, Richardson said. There was no information on his condition.
Witnesses told police that it started as a verbal dispute and turned into a fight.
No bond information or court date was available.
Dale City man held up at gunpoint at ATM
A 24-year-old Dale City man was held at gunpoint by a would-be robber near an ATM in the 2900 block of Dale Boulevard in Dale City around 9:55 p.m. Tuesday, said Officer John Bogert, Prince William police spokesman.
Police said the gunman approached the victim while he was walking away from the ATM. The would-be robber demanded money, Bogert said, but did not get anything and fled on foot.
The gunman was described as a black man, between the ages of 20 and 25, 5 feet 11 inches tall, between 170 and 180 pounds, and wearing a black jacket with a fur collar and a white ski mask over his face.
The victim was not injured.
Two charged after police called to stabbing
Treno Sauceda, 33, of 14205 Forbes Place was charged with malicious wounding and Jose Efrain Maldenado, 35, also of 14205 Forbes Place was charged with assault and batter after police responded to a stabbing in progress call around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, said Sharon Richardson, Prince William police spokeswoman.
Police arrived at the residence and found one in the living room and the other in the rear of the house, Richardson said. Witnesses said it started is a verbal dispute and turned into a fight.
Both men were treated at the scene.
