Haymarket area man charged in false alarm
A man from near Haymarket told police his girlfriend was abducted after calling them earlier in the night for the same thing, Prince William County police said.
Brian Lindsay Carino, 27, of 6864 Witton Circle, called police around 4 a.m., saying his girlfriend was abducted, said Detective Dennis Mangan, police spokesman.
The police found her around the corner from his house. Carino and the girlfriend had reportedly been fighting that night and police told him that she was staying in a hotel, police said.
Police then told Carino to return to his home.
A short time later, Carino called police again saying his girlfriend had been abducted. Police went to his house and arrested him for falsely summoning police as well as public intoxication, police said.
Manassas man faces marijuana charge
A Manassas teenager was found with suspected marijuana in Sunday night Dale City, police said.
Zachary Nathan Davis, 19, of 9210 Azure Court was released on a summons for possession of marijuana.
Police saw him sitting in a 1990 Nissan in the 5400 block of Mapledale Plaza around 8:45 p.m. and thought he looked suspicious.
Police approached him and found the suspected marijuana in the car.
Springfield driver charged with identity fraud
A Springfield woman gave police her mother’s name after being found with suspected marijuana Saturday night in Woodbridge, police said.
Courtney Farris, 38, of 8815 Arley Drive, was charged with driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana and identity fraud, police said.
She was stopped for a traffic violation around 10:15 p.m. at the intersection of Longview Drive and Sussex Court in a 1984 Toyota.
Farris had no license and gave her mother’s name as her own. She was taken to a police station where she admitted to giving a false name.
Prince William County police reported the following incident:
• A cell phone and charger valued at $250 were stolen from a home in the 13800 block of Redford Lane in Dale City between 8 a.m. Feb. 10 and 6 p.m. Feb. 17.
