Prince William County Board of Supervisors face a myriad issues at Tuesday’s regular meeting, the only board meeting in August.

The supervisors first session begins at 2 p.m. in the board room at the McCoart Administrative Center, One County Complex Court.

The second board session begins at 7:30 p.m.

Some agenda items are listed here:

2 p.m Session:

— Consider approving agreement between Prince William County and the Virginia Department of Transportation for the $376,525 Recreational Access Funds Grant for the Sudley Park Access Road project.

— Request VDOT to disregard Prince William County’s request to classify Davis Ford Road as an urban minor arterial to an urban collector road. No changes to traffic patterns have been made or are proposed, said Craig Gerhart, county executive. He added that as an urban minor arterial road, Davis Ford Road can handle traffic more quickly.

— Acquire property owned by trustees for the Grace Lutheran Church, 2466 Longview Drive, in connection with the Prince William Parkway Extended Project.

— Acquire property owned by Robert J. Freeman, 13606 Spriggs Road, in connection with Spriggs Road projec.

— Acquire Heritage Baptist Church property at 14510 Spriggs Road in connection with Spriggs Road project.

— Assign contract designation from the Virginia Department of Transportation and Rinker, Detwiler & Associates, P.C. to Prince William County for the Minnieville Road Project (Caton Hill to Old Bridge roads) and approve $792,427 contract with Rinker Detwiler & Associates.

— Create a police services technician and transfer $36,201 to the police department to pay for technicians salary.

— Provide constitutional officers a 3 percent pay increase retroactive to July 1 and transfer $4,628 to the commonwealth’s attorney office, $3,537 to the sheriff’s office and $3,435 to the clerk of the circuit court.

— Install touch screen voting equipment in the Linton Hall and the Westgate precincts during the November elections.

— Authorize public hearings to consider splitting the Haymarket precinct into two precincts, change the name of Bull Run Precinct to Sudley North Precinct and to consider moving the Armory Precinct polling place from the Memorial Armory Building to the Bennett Elementary School.

— Authorize public hearing to consider requesting that a multi-way stop at Cavalier and McIntire Drives and replace it with two sets of painted traffic chokers on Cavalier Drive.

— Authorize a public hearing to consider the sale of county-owned property at 13530 Bentley Circle in connection with police department’s residential officer program.

— Presentation by Martin Briley on the Economic Development quarterly report.

— Approve revised memorandum of understanding among Prince William County Park Authority, Freedom Museum Inc. and National Museum of History.

— Consider adding additional requirements to the adult business permit ordinance.

— Approve $6.3 million in financing for Nokesville Volunteer Fire station.

— Budget and appropriate increase in the fiscal year 2004 school board budget in the amount of $118,695,632.

— Accept, budget and appropriate a fiscal year 2004 revenue increase of $242,211 and a revenue increase for at-risk youth and family services of $94,746 for a total revenue increase of $336,957.

— Enter agreement with National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Chesapeake Bay small watershed grants program to improve water quality.

— Transfer $250 from Neabsco Magisterial District funds to the Prince William County Park Authority/Eastern Prince William Sports Club for Supervisor John D. Jenkins, D-Neabsco.

— Donate $500 each from magisterial funds of Supervisors Jenkins, D-Neabsco; L. Ben Thompson, R-Brentsville; Mary K. Hill, R-Coles; Hilda M. Barg, D-Woodbridge and Maureen S. Caddigan, R-Dumfries.

7:30 p.m. Public hearings:

— A Catholic school in Cherry Hill, 1.5 miles southeast of the intersection of Jefferson Davis Highway and Cherry Hill Road, requests a special use permit to build 120-foot structure.

— Church of God, 1,000 feet north of Wellington Road and Rixlew Lane intersection in Brentsville, requests a special use permit to expand its church.

— Karen Radley Acura/ Volkswagon requests a special use permit to expand existing motor vehicle sales facility at Opitz Boulevard and U.S. 1.

— Dobyns Construction requests the county rezone 5.9 acres from agricultural to semi-rural residential,

— Bass Pro at Potomac Mills Mall requests to amend proffered conditions of rezoning 1.87 acres from light industrial to general business.

— Bass Pro at Potomac Mills Mall requests a special use permit to allow motor vehicle sales and an archery shooting range on about 6 acres.

— Bass Pro at Potomac Mills Mall requests amendment of the conditions of existing special use permit relating to signage.

— Bass Pro at Potomac Mills Mall requests to amend proffered conditions of agreement relating to building materials.

— Marroum property requests county to rezone 2.56 acres from agricultural to general commercial to allow a special use permit for motor vehicle sales 300 feet northeast of the Fitzwater Drive and Bobby Spencer Road intersection.

— Marroum property request for special use permit to allow for vehicle sales.
