Woman hit by beer bottle, taken to Potomac Hospital
A 41-year-old woman was hit in the head with a Corona beer bottle while she was running in the 2200 block of York Drive in Woodbridge at 7:45 p.m. Thursday, Prince William police said Friday.
A gold sport utility vehicle drove by and a man yelled something to the woman from inside before throwing the bottle. She was taken to Potomac Hospital and received multiple stitches in her face, Detective Dennis Mangan said.
Jogger choked by men in Manassas area July 8
A 29-year-old man was choked while jogging when two people ran up behind him in the 10100 block of Lomond Drive in the Manassas area between 9:30 and 10 p.m. July 8, Prince William police said Friday.
The men let go and ran away when the victim fought back.
Parked vehicles damaged in Georgetown South lot
Three cars were hit in a Georgetown South parking lot between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, causing $8,350 worth of damage, according to Sgt. Bill Goodman, Manassas city police spokesman.
A 1996 Ford F-150 pickup was hit on the left side. A 1992 Cadillac’s driver’s side mirror was hit and a 1997 Plymouth Voyager’s driver’s side mirror was hit.
Police recovered paint chips and pieces of the car that hit the other three. They believe it is a Nissan SUV.
Woman hit while holding child at local restaurant
A 21-year-old woman was hit while holding her baby at the 13775 Jefferson Davis Highway Denny’s restaurant at 8:20 p.m. Thursday after arguing with a woman inside, Prince William police said Friday.
The woman left after the argument, and came back with five friends. The six are described as black and between 18 and 25 years old. Two of them wore white bandanas, police said.
They left in a black, four-door Nissan Altima with temporary Maryland license plates.
Woman hears keys jingle, says $20 taken from home
A 57-year-old Woodbridge woman heard keys jingling when she got up between 11:20 and 11:30 p.m. Thursday in her home on the 1300 block of Longview Drive, Prince William police said Friday.
She noticed that someone had come inside and taken $20 and her keys, police said.
