Lake Ridge couple arrested
Friday on drug charges
The Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force arrested two people at 3620 Sherbrooke Circle, Apt. 203, in Lake Ridge on Friday evening, Prince William County police said Monday.
Eugene Clyde Conner, 21, of that address, was wanted in Stafford County on several felony warrants.
Conner is charged in Stafford County with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and driving with a suspended license. Detectives there said Conner also was using other people’s identification at traffic stops.
Amy M. Cornett, age unknown, was charged with possession of marijuana. She lived in the apartment with Conner.
Man beaten and robbed
Sunday in Woodbridge
A 30-year-old man was beaten and robbed by two men who followed him in the 14400 block of Smoketown Road in Woodbridge at 4:40 a.m. Sunday, Prince William County police said Monday.
The first robber is described as Hispanic, between 16 and 25, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 145 pounds.
The second robber is described as black, between 18 and 25, about 5 feet 10 inches and 180 pounds.
The man was treated at Potomac Hospital.
Area man beaten, robbed of wallet in Dale City
An 18-year-old man was beaten and robbed in the 4600 block of Hamilton Drive in Dale City at 2:25 a.m. Saturday, Prince William County police said Monday.
The man was walking along when he was approached by two men who kicked and punched him and stole his wallet and watch, police said.
The first robber is described as Hispanic, between 30 and 40 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds. The second is described as black, between 30 and 40, 5 feet 10 inches and 170 pounds.
Four teens attack teen,
18, in Mapledale area
An 18-year-old man was beaten and robbed at the intersection of Mackwood and Mapledale drives in Dale City at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, Prince William County police said Monday.
The victim was approached by four Hispanic youths described as being 16 or 17 years old. One of the men hit him in the head and when he tried to fight back, the other three jumped in.
The first man is described as 5 feet 8 inches, weighing about 200 pounds. Police had no descriptions for the others.
Man arrested in attempted
grand larceny in Dale City
A 24-year-old man with no fixed address was charged with attempted burglary, attempted grand larceny, possession of marijuana and destruction of property after a 19-year-old saw him breaking into her house in the 4500 block of Dale Boulevard in Dale City, Prince William County police said Monday.
Police stopped Marcelino Sanchez Hernandez on Dale Boulevard. He had a bag of marijuana, a registration book, tape, CD changer and adapter taken from a 1995 Ford in the 13300 block of Hillendale Drive, police said.
Police are in the process of obtaining warrants for that crime, police said.
Burglars vandalize Lake Ridge house, steal items
Burglars clogged a drain and left water running, in addition to damaging a number of other things in the 2800 block of Cambridge Drive House in Lake Ridge, Prince William County police said Monday. Chairs were cut open and statues were destroyed in the home.
A DVD player, VCR and three phones valued at $270 were taken.
Manassas man charged with hit and run, DUI
Manassas police say a 53-year-old city man drove away after hitting a Ford Thunderbird driven by a 39-year-old city woman in the 9000 block of Centreville Road on Thursday afternoony.
Dennis Thomas Parkin, of 9011 Centreville Road, was charged with hit and run, and driving under the influence. He was pulled over a few minutes after the accident.
Parkin is being held on a $1,500 bond. He is due in court on Aug. 14.
Manassas man charged with malicious wounding
Manassas police charged a 46-year-old Manassas man with malicious wounding, driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and destruction of property at 6 p.m. Friday after he flagged an officer down to complain that he was being tailgated, police said.
The officer that Mark Lewis Carpenter flagged down was on his way to a fight, when he became suspicious that Carpenter was the aggressor in that fight, police said.
Carpenter is accused of smashing out a driver’s side window with a flashlight and hitting the driver of the 1990 Honda he is accused of quarreling with.
Carpenter is being held on $75,000 bond and is due in court on July 24.
Mother turns 13-year-old son in to police for drugs
A mother told Manassas Park police she wants her son charged with petty larceny and possession of marijuana only after lab tests come back confirming the substance police seized is marijuana.
The 13-year-old admitted that he stole $100 from his mother Friday to buy cigarettes, a marijuana pipe and drugs, police said Monday.
City man charged with DWI , drug possession
A 37-year-old Manassas Park man was charged with no valid operator’s license, driving under the influence and possession of crack-cocaine by an officer responding to a domestic call.
The Manassas Park police officer saw Benjamin Paul Cross driving away from his home in the 8600 block of Cartwright Court at 2:09 a.m. Monday. Police pulled him over.
Cross is being held at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail on $5,000 bond and is due in court on Aug. 21.
Prince William police reported the following incidents:
— A basement window was broken and cash was stolen from a home in the 15300 block of Inlet Place in Montclair between 3 and 10:45 p.m. Saturday. Loss and damages are estimated at $900.
— A .357-caliber Magnum, assorted jewelry and coins valued at $8,450 were stolen from a home in the 3400 block of Scelzi Court in Triangle when the front window was broken out between 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
— A rear window was broken out of a home in the 13200 block of Parliament Drive in Lake Ridge between 12 and 3 p.m. Saturday. A fence was knocked down as well. Nothing appeared to be missing.
— Someone set off an alarm and ran away after breaking a window at a home in the 14300 block of Bismark Avenue in Woodbridge between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. Saturday.
— A stereo and 20 CDs valued at $655 were stolen from a 1995 Honda in the 8200 block of Community Drive in the Manassas area between 6 p.m. June 3 and 5:30 a.m. Wednesday. A front window was broken out.
— A CD player valued at $250 was stolen from a 1994 GMC at the Professional Collision Repair Shop at 14132 Jefferson Davis Highway in Woodbridge between 2 p.m. May 30 and 5:15 p.m. Wednesday. There was no damage, nor any sign of forced entry.
— A hand-held television and CD player valued at $300 were stolen from a 2001 Chevrolet in the 17100 block of Stallion Court in Lake Ridge between 8:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Saturday.
— A stereo and speaker box, in addition to four tires and wheels valued at $2,080 were stolen from a 1995 Honda in the 1900 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge between 2:30 and 6:30 a.m. Friday.
Manassas police reported the following incidents:
–A money box, payroll checks, money and a two-carat diamond and 14-carat gold necklace were stolen from a home in the 8600 block of Bruton Parish Circle at an unknown time Thursday.
