There will be a benefit concert for Katrina victims from 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at the Loy E. Harris Pavilion. Admission is a $5 donation, with checks and credit card donations accepted. All proceeds will go to the American Red Cross.

The music will be Louisiana cajun from the Dixie Power trio and other bands. This is an alcohol-free event and families are welcome. Manassas City restaurants will be on site to sell dinner. Call (703) 361-9800 or (703) 330-2729, if you have any questions.

The Liberty Belle, a restored World War II B-17 Flying Fortress Bomber will take to the skies over Manassas on Tuesday, with flights available for the public Friday through Sunday. As a living museum, the Liberty Belle reminds us of the courage of our World War II veterans and acts as a bridge between generations. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is looking for adults willing to serve as Wish Grantors working with children ages 2½- to 18-years-old with life-threatening medical conditions and their families making their wishes come true. Wish Grantors work locally as liaisons between the families and the regional Make-A-Wish Foundation, and are not being asked to solicit funds or in-kind donations.

Adults who have not completed high school and are interested in obtaining a General Educational Development certificate can take a free practice test Saturday at Benton Middle School, 7411 Hoadly Road, Manassas. Testing may begin anytime between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.
