Manassas Journal Messenger | 8 men attack 2 on house steps

Eight men attacked a 38-year-old man and a 21-year-old man as they sat outside their home Saturday night in the Sudley area, Prince William County police said.

The victims were sitting on the steps of their home in the 7600 block of Cass Place in the Coverstone subdivision around 11:55 p.m. when a group of eight men asked them for money, said Sgt. Dennis Mangan, police spokesman.

When the victims said they did not have any money, the eight men attacked them. They stole two cell phones and a set of keys from the victims, neither of whom required treatment, police said.

Police said the attackers were black and Hispanic, but did not get further descriptions.
