Manassas Journal Messenger | Manassas man dies in crash

A 52-year-old Manassas man died Monday at Inova Fairfax Hospital from injuries he suffered in a two-vehicle accident Sunday.

Michael Robertson Lane, 52, of 6681 Hunter’s Ridge Road in Manassas was traveling west in the right lane of Richmond Avenue at 9:45 p.m. Sunday when his 1993 Jeep Cherokee struck a 2000 Chrysler Sedan from behind.

The Jeep Cherokee rolled over several times after impact, ejecting Lane.

Lane was flown by AirCare to Inova Fairfax Hospital where he died the following day.

The Chrysler sedan was overturned and forced into the eastbound lanes. The occupants of that vehicle were taken to Prince William Hospital for treatment.
