Manassas Journal Messenger | Victim critically injured in fight

A 26-year-old man suffered a possibly life-threatening head injury during a fight on Occoquan Forest Drive at 2:30 a.m. Monday, Prince William police said.

The man, who was injured south of Yates Ford Road and east of Davis Ford Road near his home, was in the neighborhood with friends when he got into an argument with Jerrold L. Feuchtwanger, 25, of 12506 Lolly Post Lane in Lake Ridge, according to Detective Dennis Mangan.

Police say Feuchtwanger threw the man to the ground, causing him to hit his head on a tree. Feuchtwanger was charged with malicious wounding and is being held at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail without bond, Mangan said.

Friends took the victim to Potomac Hospital; he was later flown to another area hospital, Mangan said.

Prince William police cordoned off the front of the house, taped off the street and were there most of Monday, a neighbor said.
