Ruth M. Saylor

Ruth Margaret Saylor, 64, of Nokesville died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001.

Survivors include her husband, Donald Saylor of Nokesville; her children, Jeff Saylor of Clearbrook, Karen Starke of Front Royal, Troy Saylor of Manassas, Lori Saylor of The Plains and Greg Saylor of Nokesville; her mother, Marie Scrivener of Manassas; one sister, Helen Tychinski; one brother, Lewis Scrivener; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lee Funeral Home, 8521 Sudley Road, Manassas, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. David Moshier officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens.

Joseph N. Troiano

Joseph Noel Troiano, 75, of Dale City died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at Mount Vernon Hospital.

He was a member of the VFW Post 1503, Dale City Moose Lodge and Dale City Elk Club

Survivors include his wife, Edith E. Troiano; four daughters, Mary T. Allmond, Joan Monica Lindenberger, Suzanna M. McCafferty and Sandy Troiano; three sons, John J. Troiano, Anthony J. Troiano, and Thomas M. Troiano; one sister, Monica Whitwam; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Red Cross Relief Fund, 9317 West St., Manassas, VA 20110 or VFW Post 1503, 14631 Minnieville Road, Dale City, VA 22193.

Elaine P. Stephens

Elaine Pattie Stephens, 67, of Triangle, originally of Manassas, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at Georgetown University Medical Center, where she was being treated for ovarian cancer.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Luke M. Stephens of Triangle; two daughters, Suzanne Green Stephens Delli Priscoli of Arlington and Jennifer Elaine Stephens Stringer of Lake Ridge; one brother, Frank Pattie Jr. and Linda Pattie Lowry; and five grandchildren.

Valedictorian of her class at Occoquan High School in 1951, she graduated from the College of William and Mary in 1955. She was a great lover of books and supporter of the Prince William Public Library System. She and her husband owned and ran Dumfries Pharmacy from 1958 to 1990.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mountcastle Funeral Home 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pohick Episcopal Church, 9301 Richmond Highway with interment at Pohick Cemetery.
