Police Briefs for Friday, March 21
Two women — ages 35 and 51 — were robbed at gunpoint of cash and a cellular telephone in the 12000 block of Lake Ridge Drive in Woodbridge on Wednesday at 3:50 p.m., Detective Dennis Mangan, Prince William police spokesman, said Thursday.
Police are seeking two suspects. The man with the gun is described as black, between 18 and 22 years old, about 6 feet tall and 240 pounds. He wore a long, black T-shirt and had short hair.
The second man, also black, is between 18 and 20, about 5 feet 7 inches and 140 pounds. He wore a long sleeve white shirt and black jeans.
CD player, cash stolen from Honda in Manassas
A CD player, $200 in cash and other items valued at a total of $800 were stolen from a 1997 Honda parked in the 10400 block of Butterfield Street in the Manassas area between Monday at 11 p.m. and Tuesday at 5:30 a.m., Detective Dennis Mangan, Prince William police spokesman, said on Thursday.
Handgun stolen from home in Lindendale
A chrome Raven .25 semi-automatic handgun was stolen from a home in the 14000 block of Lindendale Road in Dale City between Dec. 30, 2002, and Wednesday at 1 p.m., Detective Dennis Mangan, Prince William police spokesman, said Thursday.
Equipment taken from garage in Nokesville
A planer, framing nailer, saws, blades, a router and roto-kit valued at a total of $4,833 were stolen from a garage in the 12800 block of Carriage Ford Road in Nokesville between Saturday at 4:15 p.m. and Monday at 7 a.m., Detective Dennis Mangan, Prince William police spokesman said Thursday.
Moped reported missing from shed in M. Park
A moped was stolen from a shed in the backyard of a home in the 100 block of Evans Street in Manassas Park, city police said Thursday.
The black, Tomos moped, valued at $150, was stolen between Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., and Wednesday at 7:30 a.m.
