Potomac News Online | Man arrested for flashing children

A mother went inside a fast food restaurant to get her children dinner, but when she came outside, her kids had something to tell her.

While she was inside the KFC restaurant at 17450 Jefferson Davis Highway in Dumfries, a man drove up to her 6-year-old and 9-year-old daughters and exposed himself before driving away around 7 p.m. Thursday, Prince William County police said.

The man’s green Volkswagen was still in the parking lot and upon hearing what her children had to say, she chased the man in her own car while calling police, said Detective Dennis Mangan, police spokesman.

The woman tailed the flasher until police arrived and arrested him on Jefferson Davis Highway near Va. 234. He was believed to be heading toward Interstate 95, police said.

The police charged Aday Galindo, 39, of 1204 34th St. in NW Washington, D.C., with two counts of indecent exposure, police said.

Following the arrest, police learned that Galindo allegedly flashed two other children in the Dumfries/Triangle area, police said.

According to Dumfries police, the man exposed himself to at least one child on Old Triangle Road around 6:30 p.m.

The man in that incident was also driving a green Volkswagen and had Washington, D.C., license plates, Dumfries police said.

Prince William County police charged Galindo with two additional counts of indecent exposure and two counts of indecent liberties to a minor.

Mangan said Galindo is not believed to be the same person who flashed two McDonald’s workers March 24 while using the restaurant’s drive-through.
