Ozzy Osbourne isn’t participating in the recently announced Black Sabbath return under the name Heaven and Hell — Ronnie James Dio has been tapped for vocal duties — but the Ozz says he shall return. Heaven and Hell, featuring original Sabbath members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward plan an early 2007 tour. Ozzy says he plans to join his mates later in ’07 for another tour, this one as Black Sabbath . . . Clay Aiken will appear on “Days of Our Lives” on Dec. 22 and sing two songs . . . Original Duran Duran guitarist Andy Taylor has left the band. Dom Brown will pick up fret duties for the rest of the band’s tour, which runs through Nov. 11, then Duran returns to the studio, where they recently wrapped a collaboration with Justin Timberlake and Timbaland . . . Hanson hopes to educate some of its less industry-savvy fans with the DVD “Strong Enough to Break.” The documentary details the three-year struggle the band endured with its record label during the recording of its 2004 album, “Underneath.”

    Live Phish is back. The three-disc “Colorado ’88” chronicles the band’s July 1988 tour stop in Colorado, when it arrived to discover its concerts were no longer scheduled. To make good, Phish secured seven shows at bars and restaurants in Aspen and recorded the gigs on analog cassette. The set is available exclusively via the band’s Dry Goods mail-order service. A digital version with bonus tracks is available at www.livephish.com . . . If you couldn’t skip the mortgage payment to see Barbra Streisand’s current tour, a much cheaper alternative is coming. A still-untitled double disc release, recorded on opening night of the tour at Philadelphia’s Wachovia Center and also at Madison Square Garden, arrives Dec. 5 . . . Due Dec. 12 is a Mary J. Blige best-of, “Reflections: The Journey” . . . You’ve likely heard John Mellencamp’s “Our Country” in those ubiquitous car ads. The rest of the album, “Freedom Road,” arrives in January . . . We’ll believe this when we see a product, but Michael Jackson and the Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am have started collaborating in Ireland for a new Jackson project due late next year.
