Parents face charges after guard finds lost son
Two Woodbridge parents were charged with neglect after their son was found by a security guard on the 1500 block of Constellation Place.
The arrests of the parents came when their nearly 3-year-old boy was discovered by a guard on patrol around at 11 a.m. Sunday, Prince William police said.
Alex Phillippe Torres, and Sanae Torres, both 25 years old and of 1498 Ranger Loop in Woodbridge, came to the department’s Gar-Field sub-station off U.S. 1 at about 3:30 p.m. looking for their lost son, said Detective Dennis Mangan.
The boy was taken to an emergency foster home; the Torreses were released on personal recognizance.
Victim’s skull fractured in attack in Woodbridge
A 38-year-old man’s skull was fractured after an attack he said happened at the 7-Eleven at 13304 Occoquan Road in Woodbridge at 10 p.m. Saturday.
Prince William police are still investigating the incident.
The victim told police that as he held the door open for three men, one of them bumped into him, another hit him with brass knuckles and the third hit him on the head with a baseball bat.
He ran across Occoquan Road and was almost hit by a car. He put his jacket, which was later stolen, across his head.
He told police the men were Hispanic. The alleged bat-wielder is described as 5 feet 8 inches and 240 pounds. The second is said to be 6 feet tall and 150 pounds with brass knuckles, a black shirt and blue jeans. The third man is said to be 5 feet 7 inches and 145 pounds. He wore a gray shirt and blue jeans.
Man who failed to appear arrested by drug task force
A man who failed to appear on firearms and drug-related charges was arrested by the Prince William-Manassas-Manassas Park Narcotics Task Force on Thursday, Prince William police said Monday.
Police claim Ernest Santiago, 31, of 16164 Stockbridge Drive south of Montclair was carrying marijuana, crack and cash.
He is being held without bond.
