Manassas Park has hired a new Public Works director, Robert N. Magnuson. As Public Works Director, Magnuson will oversee Manassas Park’s street maintenance, vehicle maintenance, outsourced trash collection operation, buildings and grounds, and water and sewer divisions.
Magnuson’s first day with the city was July 31. Before that, he was a distribution engineering manager for the Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative (NOVEC). Magnuson holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
“Mr. Magnuson possesses a unique blend of public service, technical and leadership skills that makes him a great asset to the City of Manassas Park. I am extremely pleased that he is our new leader for our Public Works Department,” City Manager David Reynal said.
