Cash, phone cards stolenfrom Woodbridge business

The glass front door at Surtidora Mexicana Incorporated, 13732 Jefferson Davis Highway was broken and phone cards were stolen in two burglaries at the business.

The first burglary occurred Saturday at 2:01 a.m. A white or Hispanic man wearing shorts was recorded on a security video taking 200 phone cards and a cash register.

The man fled on foot.

The second burglary occurred Monday at 11:15 p.m. Forty phone cards valued at $400 were taken by a white or Hispanic man, and recorded by the security video. The man fled the business on a bicycle.

In both burglaries the front glass door was broken and police were alerted by a security alarm.

Lake Ridge man chargedwith malicious wounding

A 22-year-old Lake Ridge man was charged with malicious wounding along with two other men after an assault on a 17-year-old Alexandria man, Fairfax County police said Friday.

Troy Kelly, of 3664 Goldside Circle; Jamie Hatcher, 20, of 5022 Addison Road in Capital Heights, Md.; and Jerono Davis, 18, of 7999 Richmond Highway No. 14, near Alexandria, are being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Police say four men attacked the victim with a hammer and handgun as he was leaving a party in the 8200 block of Cedar Landing Court near Mount Vernon. They are still looking for one man who has not been named.

Witnesses saw the attackers drive away in a truck at the intersection of Well Drive and La Faye Court, police said.

Fairfax County officers arrested the suspects after stopping their truck at the intersection of Collingwood Road and William & Mary Drive.

$2,000 in property stolen from Dale City garage

An air compressor, lawn mower, power drill, band saw, wheelchair and assorted tools were taken from a garage in the 13100 block of Otto Road in Dale City between 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday. Residents found the garage door open, and possibly opened with the garage door opener, which was also taken, Prince William County police said. Several vehicles on the same block were also broken into Sunday, police said.

Stolen items are valued at $1,985.

Car stolen from Manassas car dealership on Friday

A black 2003 Nissan two-door sports coupe was stolen from Sheehy Nissan, 9010 Liberia Ave. The vehicle was parked on the business’s front lot when it was taken between 10 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. There was no license plate on the vehicle when it was taken and it was missing the hubcaps that cover the center portion of the wheels, Manassas police said.

Two machines damaged at Manassas car wash

An automated cashier that operates the car wash at Manassas Kia and Subaru, 9020 Liberia Ave. in Manassas, was damaged when someone attempted to take money from it between Thursday night and 6:30 a.m. Friday, Manassas Police said. A vending machine was also damaged and an undetermined amount of money was taken from it.

Damage is estimated at more than $10,000, Manassas police said.
