Manassas Journal Messenger | Man charged with taking liberties with 5-year-old
A 40-year-old Dumfries man was arrested Sunday and charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, Prince William police said Monday.
Dennis Michael Brauer, of 17739 Main St. Lot 7, inappropriately touched a 5-year-old girl who attended day care in the house he lived on two separate occasions, said 1st Sgt. Kim Chinn, police spokeswoman.
Brauer lived in the same house as the day care provider, but did not work there as a baby-sitter, Chinn said. She would not comment on the nature of the relationship between Brauer and the home’s owner.
The second incident occurred Saturday and the first occurred on an unknown date about two months ago, Chinn said. The day-care service was in a private home.
Brauer is being held without bond. The case is still under investigation, Chinn said.
