Alexandria man charged with stealing woman’s cane
A 23-year-old Alexandria man is accused by police of stealing a 75-year-old woman’s cane after she refused to give him money at 6:25 p.m. Tuesday, Prince William police said.
Abdulai Barrie, of 7250 Fordson Road in Alexandria was charged with strongarm robbery, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and public intoxication after Prince William police pulled him off an Omnibus that Potomac Mills mall security stopped.
Manassas Park man awakens to find intruder
A Manassas Park resident awoke to find a man in the house in the 8600 block of Overhill Drive at 2:16 a.m. Wednesday, police there said. The victim was startled by a noise, police said.
The burglar is described as white, with blond spiked hair. He was wearing khaki shorts. A K-9 unit was unable to locate him.
