Woman charged with trying to obtain false prescription
A 22-year-old woman allegedly called area pharmacies pretending to be a worker at a doctor’s office to get a false painkiller prescription filled, Prince William County police said.
Kerri Ann Stephen, of the 1800 block of Tilletson Place, was charged with conspiracy to commit prescription fraud, said Sharon Richardson, police spokeswoman.
Stephen allegedly called the pharmacy at the Giant supermarket at 16593 River Ridge Boulevard on Monday pretending to be a worker at a doctor’s office and giving a false name, police said.
She told the pharmacy worker that she needed a prescription filled and gave her real name as that of the patient, police said.
The pharmacy refused to accept the prescription and contacted police. Stephen allegedly called other area pharmacies with the same story, police said.
She was released on bond.
Dale City teen charged with grand larceny
A Dale City teenager was arrested after police allegedly found stolen property in his car during a traffic stop early Monday morning near Manassas, police said.
Police also plan to charge two juveniles in the case, police said.
Ronald Walter Ramirez, 18, of the 4200 block of Evergreen Drive, was charged with grand larceny as well as reckless driving, police said.
He was stopped at the intersection of Va. 234 and Godwin Drive for reckless driving around 4:15 a.m. During a search, an officer found stereo equipment and BB and pellet guns that were reported stolen, police said.
Ramirez is being held in lieu of $8,000 bond.
Lake Ridge man charged with marijuana possession
A 42-year-old Lake Ridge man was charged with possession of marijuana after an arrest for driving under the influence Monday night near Manassas, Prince William County police reported Wednesday.
Michael Patrick Kiernan, of the 2100 block of Old Ironsides Court, was charged with possession of marijuana as well as driving under the influence during a traffic stop Monday at 11:57 p.m. at the intersection of King George Drive and Loudoun Avenue.

• A stereo valued at $550 was stolen from a car parked in the 16600 block of Kensington Place in the Brittany subdivision near Prince William Forest Park between 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
• Four tires and wheels valued at $1,800 were stolen from a car in the 14100 block of Bay Vista Drive in Woodbridge between 9 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.
• Ninety sheets of plywood valued at $1,460 were stolen from a construction site in the 800 block of Belmont Bay Drive in Woodbridge between 1 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Monday.
• A digital camera valued at $250 was stolen from a car parked in the 8200 block of Centreville Road near Manassas on Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.
• Two air conditioners valued at $1,150 were stolen from a home in the 8000 block of Tysons Oaks Court in the new Regents at Lake Manassas subdivision near Lake Manassas between 3:30 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday.
• A 1985 blue Dodge Caravan valued at $500 was stolen from the front of a home in the 2700 block of Cara Drive in Woodbridge between 7 p.m. Sunday and 2:30 p.m. Monday.
• A stereo valued at $450 was stolen from a car parked in the 16900 block of Islip Loop in Southbridge on Tuesday between 9:30 a.m. and 5:45 p.m.
• A stereo and assorted car parts valued at $804 were stolen from a car parked in the 4800 block of Kellogg Drive in Dale City between 9 p.m. Sunday and 1:15 p.m. Monday.
• Electronics and compact discs valued at $460 were stolen from a car parked in the 15000 block of Lost Canyon Court in Woodbridge between 10 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday.
• Electronics and CDs valued at $735 were stolen from a car parked in the 3900 block of Desoto Court in Dale City between 11 p.m. Friday and 5:45 a.m. Saturday.
• Electronics valued at $200 were stolen from a car parked in the 5000 block of Lambsgate Lane in Dale City between 8 p.m. Sunday and 6:15 a.m. Monday.
