Manassas Journal Messenger | Insecticide spill stops traffic

Traffic was stopped on Nokesville Road between Wellington Road and Godwin Drive for about an hour and 45 minutes Wednesday after four one-gallon containers of concentrated insecticide fell from a truck, said Prince William Fire and Rescue spokeswoman Olufunke Owolabi.

The containers fell from the truck at 2:50 p.m. Two of the containers broke open and spilled termiticide that is dangerous if it comes in contact with the skin, Owolabi said.

Atlantic Environmental Services, a Maryland-based hazardous materials cleaning company, cleaned the spill, Owolabi said.
