Prince William police arrested a Washington, D.C., teenager Sunday night in connection with an assault outside a Woodbridge restaurant.

A 35-year-old man was struck in the head with a club by two assailants. Police are still looking for the second attacker, said Detective Dennis Mangan, police spokesman.

Alex Cruz, 19, of 1465 Columbia Ave., was charged with malicious wounding along with wearing a mask in public. He is being held without bond in the Prince William-Manassas regional jail, according to jail officials.

Police describe the other attacker as 5feet 10inches, between 17 and 23 years old and wearing a black shirt and black sweatshirt.

The victim was at La Luna restaurant at 14520 Jefferson Davis Highway around 10 p.m., police said, when the two people who later attacked him asked him to go outside for an unknown reason.

Once outside, the victim was hit in the head with a club which caused a cut, police said. The victim was taken to Potomac Hospital with minor injuries.

The two men fled in a Nissan Maxima. Police located the car near the restaurant where they arrested Cruz.
