Teens arrested for drugs, concealed weapon
Three Lake Ridge teenagers were arrested after police found a stolen handgun and a bag of marijuana during a traffic stop Tuesday night at the intersection of Cotton Mill Drive and Hedges Run Drive in Lake Ridge, according to Dennis Mangan, Prince William County police spokesman.
James Allen Carrethers, II, 19, of 3483 Aviary Way in the Brookmeade section of Lake Ridge; Timoty Allen Legarde, 18, of 3191 Rivanna Court in Lake Ridge and Julian Laroye Hyter, 18, of 12095 Willowwood Drive in the Promontory Oaks section of Lake Ridge were each charged with felony possession of a stolen handgun, having a concealed weapon and possession of marijuana.
Police pulled the three teens over at 10:44 p.m. on Tuesday in their 1998 Honda Accord.
Police smelled marijuana and when searching the car found a stolen 9 mm handgun along with a bag of marijuana.
Each suspect is being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond and is due to appear in court on March 16.
Lake Ridge man charged with DUI, possession
A 21-year-old Lake Ridge man was arrested for driving under the influence and marijuana possession during a traffic stop Thursday on Springwoods Drive in Lake Ridge, police said.
Imam Saber Sulaiman, 21, of 2941 Cambridge Drive in Lake Ridge, was arrested after his 1998 Honda Accord was pulled over during a traffic stop.
Two arrested on charges of cocaine possession
Police arrested two men, including one from Manassas Park, on charges of cocaine possession early Tuesday morning during a traffic stop at the intersection of Amherst Drive and Manassas Drive just outside Manassas Park, police said.
Byron Junior Dolley, II, 25, of 1777 Holden Drive in Manassas Park and Joe Louis Carter, 33, 9212 Black Walnut Road, Rhodesville, were arrested and charged with cocaine possession.
During a traffic stop Tuesday at 12:28 a.m., one of the subjects got out of their 1976 Chevrolet and and the police officer saw white rocks on one of the seats. Police also found marijuana.
Man charged with marijuana possession in traffic stop
A man from the Southbridge community was arrested and charged with marijuana possession during a stop for driving under the influence Thursday morning, police said.
Na’Quan Anthony Phillip, 35, of 17392 Sligo Loop in the Southbridge community, was stopped while driving his 1996 Saturn on Thursday at 1:35 a.m. for driving under the influence.
During a search police found marijuana.
Police looking for two after equipment stolen
Two Hispanic man are wanted for taking $3,400 worth of construction equipment from a van on the 9700 block of Damascus Drive at 4 a.m. Wednesday, police said.
The two men were seen carrying the equipment to a nearby bush from a 1994 Ford van.
The two men are both Hispanic. One is 5-foot-6, 180 pounds, between the ages of 25 and 30 and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
The other man is 6-foot-1, 170 pounds, between the ages of 22 and 35 and was wearing dark clothes with white tennis shoes.
They stole a Craftsman generator, two electric saws and four nail guns. Some of the equipment was left at the scene. The subjects have not been located.
Prince William County police reported the following incident:
• A PlayStation 2 worth $200 was stolen from a home on the 14600 block of Balsam Street near the Willowbrook section of Woodbridge Tuesday between 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
