Manassas Journal Messenger | Man pleads guilty to sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl

A 36-year-old Manassas Park man pleaded guilty Tuesday to the sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl.

Jose Antonio Oyosa sexually assaulted the girl on June 29, 2003, Officer Randy L. Eagal of the Manassas Park Police Department testified.

About a week later, Oyosa fled the area. He was picked up by the border patrol in Texas, Eagal said.

Oyosa pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual battery. As part of a plea agreement, Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Claiborne T. Richardson II dropped two additional charges of rape and statutory burglary.

Oyosa of the 100 block of Drake Ct. is scheduled for sentencing Feb. 17. He faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.
