Manassas Journal Messenger | Salvation Army opens new thrift store
Now residents can help area residents through the Salvation Army in a new way.
The non-profit organization recently opened a thrift store at 13287 Gordon Blvd. in Woodbridge. The Gordon Plaza store will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The proceeds from store sales will help operate the Salvation Army’s long-term rehabilitation center.
“We are very excited about opening our newest store here in the metro area,” said Administrator of the Northern Virginia Adult Rehabilitation Center Bill Madison in a recent news release.
Gently used household items and clothing can be dropped off at the store. Shoppers will find clothing, furniture, toys, shoes, books and other items at low prices.
On-site parking is available, according to the release.
“When the community shops and donates at the The Salvation Family Stores and Donation Centers, they are not only getting a bargain, but are supporting a good cause as well,” Madison said in the release.
