Dennis E. Harrelson

Dennis E. Harrelson, 42, of Manassas died Friday, May 10, 2002, at Prince William Hospital in Manassas.

Preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lee Harrelson in 1999, and his father, Thomas D. Harrelson II in 2002, he is survived by one son, Thomas D. Harrelson III of Manassas; one daughter, Victoria Leigh Harrelson of Manassas; his mother, Marie B. Harrelson of Manassas; one sister, Kathleen Harrelson of Manassas; four half brothers, one half sister and lifelong friends, Mickey Gray and Barbara Brinson.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Price Funeral Home, 9609 Center St., Manassas, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Larry Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 6110 Executive Blvd., Suite 1010, Rockville MD 20852 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 699, Vienna, VA 22183-0699 in memory of Dennis E. Harrelson.

Emerson Higbee

Emerson Higbee, retired Engineman 1st Class, U.S. Navy, 84, of Woodbridge, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Annaburg Manor in Manassas.

A resident of Woodbridge since 1962, he was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. He was former chaplain of Alexandria Washington Masonic Lodge #22, former member of the Manassas Masonic Lodge #182 and active member of the Occoquan Masonic Lodge #310.

Survivors include his wife, Ida Higbee of Woodbridge; three sons, Marty Higbee of New Jersey, Billy Higbee of Florida and Edward Higbee of Catlet; one sister, Norma Nickles of Tennessee; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge, with a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Thompson officiating.

Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery with full military honors.

Lucas A. Reid

Lucas Austin Reid, 5 of Bristow, died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at the Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C.

He was born on July 10, 1996 in Fairfax to Dwayne and Serena (nee Adams) Reid.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, George Reid.

Survivors include his parents of Bristow; a younger sister, Alexa Reid of Bristow; his paternal grandmother, Carolyn Reid of Fairfax; maternal grandparents, Philip and Elizabeth Adams of Fairfax; maternal great-grandparents, Lillian Collins of San Antonio, and Matthew and Irene Baginski of Garfield, N.J.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Blasius-Baker Funeral Home, 9320 West St., Manassas.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road, Fairfax.
