Fredda Maxine Merritt, 80, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at Bowling Green Nursing Home.
She was born on June 6, 1921, in Memphis, Tenn. She was a retired assistant voting registrar for Virginia Beach.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles H. Norman and Edith Land; and her husband, Clyde Norris Merritt.
She is survived by one daughter, Diana Louder of Fredericksburg; one son, Michael Merritt of Seattle; two sisters, Opal McClure of Chattanooga, Tenn., and Adelia Williams of Middleton, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
