Ellicot Lane home burglarized; 5 foot tall
telescope worth $1,000 reported stolen
A 40-year-old Centreville man told police that a large telescope was taken from a house he owns in the 9600 block of Ellicott Lane in Manassas sometime during the last two weeks, said Dave Lane, Manassas Police spokesman.
The man told police someone entered the house by removing some tape from the glass of a previously broken glass door, Lane said.
The owner told police the telescope, a 5-foot tall, white, Meade model 8800, was worth about $1,000, Lane said.
