forced into house, robbed at gunpoint

Three men ransacked the home of a woman at gunpoint Wednesday night. The 76-year-old woman was taking the trash out at about 9 p.m. Wednesday when she was approached by three people with ski masks over their heads. One held a gun to her head and forced her to let them inside. They ransacked the house, then left on foot with a safe, some alcohol and some compact discs.

SERVE shelter resident reports stolen rental van

A 41-year-old female resident of the Securing Emergency Services through Volunteer Efforts Inc. shelter, 10056 Dean Drive, reported that the U-Haul van, which she still had the keys to, had been stolen.

The 1990 Ford truck was stolen sometime between Tuesday night and Wednesday evening. The truck has Arizona license plates AA-46088.

County police seek D.C. man for car theft

Prince William County police have obtained an arrest a warrant for a 31-year-old Washington D.C.-man for stealing a car from Eastern Mega Car, 9075 Euclid Avenue, Manassas.

Darryl O’Dell Washington returned a rented 2001 Mitsubishi Gallant to the dealer about 8 p.m. Tuesday night. After receiving his rental refund, he stole the keys and fled in the car, police said. The stolen vehicle is a silver four-door with Virginia license plates YAA-9086.

Man’s shoes, wallet stolen following attack

A 21-year-old man had his wallet and shoes stolen by two acquaintances Wednesday afternoon. The man was on the 16800 block of Brandymoor Loop when he was approached by a 16- or 17-year-old white male, Steve, and a 16 or 17-year-old black male, Eric, who asked him to buy beer for them. When the man refused, they knocked him down, and stole his wallet and shoes. Steve is described as 5 foot 7 inches tall and medium build, believed to live in Stafford. Eric is described as 5 foot 7 inches tall, also of medium build.
