Woman’s nose broken; police issue warrant

A 28-year-old woman was walking across the parking lot of Bowl America Bull Run, 10641 Balls Ford Road, near Interstate 66 at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday when she was attacked.

The woman had a $10 bill in her hand, when a man walked up to her, grabbed her arm, slammed her face into a car and broke her nose, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

Mangan said the victim and several witnesses identified the suspect as Wolford Lee O’Bannion, 35, of 124 N. Baylor Drive in Sterling.

An outstanding warrant for malicious wounding has been issued against O’Bannion, who is described as a black male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 185 pounds.

The victim was taken to Prince William Hospital, where she was treated and released, Mangan said.

Man robbed of groceries outside Lake Ridge store

A 51-year-old man was leaving the Food Lion grocery store in the Dillingham Square shopping center in Lake Ridge on Friday when he was grabbed by two men who attempted to rob him of cash, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Tuesday.

The victim pulled away and the suspects grabbed one of his grocery bags and fled behind the shopping center.

Two vehicles stolen from parkway commuter lot

A four-door dark green 1996 Honda Accord and a four-door gold 1995 Honda Accord were stolen from the Prince William Parkway commuter lot Monday, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

The lot is at 2250 Prince William Parkway.

Both cars have Virginia license plates and both are valued at about $7,000. They were taken during the day, Mangan said.

Woodbridge business burglarized, damaged

A Woodbridge business sustained $3,700 in damages due to a burglary Monday evening, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

A witness told police that at 7:20 p.m. he saw a man break out the front glass window of The Contractor Yard at 13320 Gordon Blvd. in Woodbridge, Mangan said. The suspect grabbed the cash register. When the witness yelled out, the suspect ran to a vehicle and left the scene heading north on U.S. 1.

The vehicle is described as a tan station wagon with side wood paneling.

The suspect is described as a 35- to 40-year-old white male wearing jeans and a jacket and carrying a baseball bat, Mangan said.

Burglar flees after being spotted in the act

A 23-year-old woman was in her home Thursday afternoon in the 16100 block of Va. 29 in western Prince William County when she heard a noise and saw a stranger in her house, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

The suspect saw the woman and at about 2 p.m. ran out the front door with $174 in cash. There was no sign of forced entry.

The suspect is described as an 18- to 22-year-old white male. He is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and has a thin build. He was wearing a gray and white flannel shirt and a dark baseball cap, Mangan said.

Items valued at $10,000 stolen from home

Items valued at $10,000 were stolen from a Woodbridge home Monday, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman. The burglar gained entry into the home, in the 1700 block of Azalea Lane, by breaking out a rear groundfloor window

Among the items taken were a VCR, DVD player, a china set, a camera, a Sony Play Station and Play Station 2 along with Play Station video games, jewelry and Levi’s jeans and jackets, Mangan said.

Home broken into near Manassas

A home in the 8100 block of Community Drive near the Manassas city limits was burglarized Jan. 8, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

The burglar gained entry through a sliding glass door, Mangan said.

A digital camera and jewelry were stolen, valued at about $700.

Items stolen from car parked on Sudley Road

A 1997 Mitsubishi located in the 7700 block of Sudley Road near Manassas was broken into between 7 and 8 p.m. Sunday, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

Compact disks, sunglasses and a CD case were taken. Their value is about $310. The thief broke out the passenger window of the car, Mangan said.

CD player and other items taken from Dale City car

Several items were taken from a 1997 Honda Civic parked in the 7600 block of Summerton Lane in Dale City between 11 p.m. Friday and 5:30 a.m. Saturday, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

There were no signs of forced entry.

A Sony CD player, subwoofers, four tire rims and a tire were taken. Their value is estimated at $1,670, Mangan said.

CD player, items taken from Woodbridge car

The driver’s side door of a 1995 Acura park in the 13900 block of Longwood Manor court in Woodbridge was pried open between 2:01 a.m. and 5 a.m. Jan. 8.

A Kenwood compact disc player, amplifier and two subwoofers were taken. There value is about $360, Mangan said.

Drill, cash and bullets taken from car

Items were taken from a 1998 Ford parked in the 10200 block of Cub Run Court, outside of Manassas, between 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

There were no signs of forced entry.

Cash, bullets and a cordless drill were taken, valuing a total value of $370.

ATV taken from patio of Woodbridge home

A 2002 Yamaha all-terrain vehicle was taken from the backyard patio of a home in the 2,000 block of York Drive in Woodbridge over the weekend, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

The ATV was taken between 9 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.

The black and white ATV is valued at $7,424, Mangan said.

Bowling balls and shoes stolen at alley lot

Three bowling balls, bags and two pair of bowling shoes were taken from a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe parked at a bowling alley between 6:05 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. Jan. 9, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

The Tahoe was parked at the AMF Dale City Lanes bowling alley, 4304 Dale Blvd., Mangan said. The items taken are valued at $2,060.

CD player, CDs taken from car in Woodbridge

The passenger-side rear window was broken out of a 1997 Ford on Friday night or Saturday morning that was parked in the 14200 block of Montana Court in Woodbridge, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

A Kenwood compact disc player and 20 CDs were taken. They are valued at $280.

Ignition parts, leather jacket stolen from car

About $520 worth of items were taken from a 1998 Honda parked in the 11000 block of Edgepark Circle near Manassas either Saturday night or Sunday morning, said Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman.

A women’s leather jacket, sunglasses and ignition parts were taken. There was no sign of forced entry, Mangan said.

The items were taken between 3 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday.
