Police brief for March 27, 2002
MANASSAS — A city woman who left her car running in the 8600 block of Liberia Avenue reported it stolen Monday, Manassas police said Tuesday.
The victim had left the car idling with her adult son inside as she shopped in a nearby store, police said. After the woman made her purchase, her son left the car to meet her. When they returned, they found the woman’s car missing. The victim described the car as a silver 4-door 2001 Nissan Altima with Virginia license plate YEK-8461.
Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Solvers at (703) 330-0330. Callers do not have to give their names or testify in court and may receive a reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in an arrest.
