Man attempts to abduct Woodbridge woman

A man tried to abduct a Woodbridge woman from the front of her home in the 13400 block of Occoquan Road at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, said Sgt. Kim Chinn, Prince William Police spokeswoman.

The woman told police when she left her house to get in her car, a man opened the car door and told her to get in. He told her he had a gun, lifted his shirt and showed it to her, then held the gun by his side, Chinn said.

The woman ran into her house and called the police. The potential assailant ran away, Chinn said.

The victim told police the man was 25 to 25 years old, black, 5 feet 9 inches tall and thin with bushy eyebrows. He was wearing dark blue jeans, a cap and a gray or blue T-Shirt, Chinn said.

Woman arrested for drug possession

Police discovered a marijuana plant and traces of cocaine and marijuana at an apartment in the 3000 block of Foxborough Court, near Manassas, after they responded to a possible domestic dispute early Wednesday evening, said Sgt. Kim Chinn, Prince William police spokeswoman.

Witnesses called police because they heard shouting from inside the apartment. When police went to inquire about possible injuries inside, the saw a marijuana plant, Chinn said.

Police got a warrant, searched the house and seized a plant-growing light and the marijuana plant, Chinn said.

During the search, police discovered cocaine and marijuana residue, Chinn said.

Police arrested Angela Bailey, 22, of 3031 Foxborough Drive and charged her with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana. Bailey was held in lieu of $2,500 bond, Chinn said.

Man faces drug charges after traffic arrest

Officers of the Prince William Narcotics Task Force charged a Dale City man with conspiracy to distribute cocaine after police arrested him for traffic violation Thursday, said Sgt. Kim Chinn, Prince William police spokeswoman.

After police initially arrested Terrence Jerome Kinard, whose last known address was in Dale City, an investigation revealed that Kinard was wanted on charges of failure to appear in circuit court and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Kinard was also wanted by the U.S. Marshal’s Office for failure to appear in district court for drug charges, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana. Chinn said.

Police also charged Kinard with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. Kinard was held without bond, Chinn said.

Parts removed from car in storage

Some auto parts were removed and stolen from a car which was parked in storage at the Prince William County fleet management building at 12100 Hooes Road in Bristow April 1 and Oct. 1, said Sgt. Kim Chinn, Prince William police spokeswoman.

The stolen parts were worth $900, Chinn said.

Honda stolen from Sudley on Wednesday

A 1992 Honda Accord was stolen from the 10200 block of Copeland Drive in the Sudley area sometime between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. Kim Chinn. Prince William police spokeswoman.

The Honda was parked in front of the victim’s home, Chinn said.

Woman watches man drive away in her car

A woman told police she watched a man drive away in her 1992 Nissan 300ZX at 7:49 a.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. Kim Chinn, Prince William police spokeswoman.

The woman was inside her home when she heard her car start. She looked outside to see a her car drive away, Chinn said.

The victim told police that the man driving her car away wore a blue shirt and jeans, was 18 to 25 years old and thin, Chinn said.

Woman tells police someone took her purse

A Lake Ridge woman told police someone stole her purse, a cell phone and other items from her car between 3:45 and 4 p.m. Wednesday, said Sgt. Kim Chinn, Prince William police spokeswoman.

The victim told police her car was parked in front of the woman’s home in the 2900 block of Burgundy Place. She rolled the car windows down so the car could cool off and went inside, Chinn said.

When the woman returned to the car, she told police, her purse and the other items were gone, Chinn said.
