42-year-old almost robbed near 7-Eleven in Dale City

A 42-year-old man was almost robbed at a 7-Eleven on Hillendale Drive in Dale City at 6:10 p.m. Thursday, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday.

Thomas Walker Singleton, 21, of 12915 Detterman Drive in Dale City was charged with attempted robbery. A 15-year-old from Dale City was also arrested and charged with the same.

$3,000 stolen from book store in Manassas

Three-thousand dollars was stolen from McKay Used Books at 8389 Sudley Road in the Manassas area between 10 p.m. Sunday and 8:35 a.m. Monday, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday.

Hotel room near Dumfries burglarized Thursday

A room in the Days Inn hotel at 16925 Old Stage Road near Dumfries was burglarized between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday.

A Sony Playstation2, games and remote controls were stolen.

Items stolen from home on Hill Court in Woodbridge

A DVD player, clothes, cash, jewelry and a cellular telephone were stolen from a home on Hill Court in Woodbridge between 12 and 4 p.m. Thursday, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday. The missing items are valued at $2,636.

Clothes, electronics taken from Dale City home

Military clothes, a TV-VCR and a Sony Playstation were stolen from a 1996 Chevrolet in the 6100 block of Team Place in Dale City between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Thursday, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday.

Police say men tried to break in to vehicle

Two men were charged with tampering with a motor vehicle in the 100 block of Pierce Street in Manassas Park at 2:52 a.m. Friday, Manassas Park police said in a news release.

Ismael Turcios Reyes, 19, and Geyner Roberto Vasques, 20, both of Falls Church, were arrested and charged after they were seen breaking into a 1996 Honda Civic, police said.

The men apparently set the cars alarm off, police said. The cars owner chased the men on foot and then by car, police said. He was able to tell police which direction they ran in; police then tracked the mens footprints through the snow, they said. The Civic sustained $300 in damage.

Stereos, speakers stolen from cars at dealership

Seven stereos and speakers were stolen from cars behind Dudley Martin Chevrolet at 8000 Sudley Road in the Manassas area between 2 and 8:30 a.m. Monday, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday.

Stereo and subwoofers taken from Honda Civic

A stereo and two sub woofers were stolen from a 1994 Honda Civic in the 12900 block of Colby Drive in Lake Ridge between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday.

Stereo, CDs taken from car in Dale City

A JVC stereo and 15 CDs were stolen from a 1995 Honda in the 4300 block of Wabash Place in Dale City between Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., and Wednesday at 6:30 a.m., Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday.

Items taken from trailer in Woodbridge

A trailer filled with goods headed for overseas shipment was burglarized on Farm Creek Drive in Woodbridge between Tuesday at an unknown time and 4 p.m. Thursday, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday. The trailer was filled with tennis shoes and dress shoes. Its lock was missing, as was a freezer that was inside. The items are valued at $8,170, Mangan said.

Tailgate stolen from truck parked in Manassas

A trucks tailgate valued at $500 was stolen from a 1994 Ford in the 9400 block of Chatham Street near Manassas, Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday.

Tools and 11 CDs were stolen from a 1995 Honda in the 10100 block of Residency Road in the Manassas area between 12:01 a.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 10 Detective Dennis Mangan, a Prince William police spokesman, said Friday.
