Manassas woman accosted by three men

A 28-year-old Manassas woman walking with her 1-year-old infant was accosted by three men in the 9200 block of Byrd Drive on Sunday night.

One man grabbed the infant’s stroller and another tried to get the woman’s purse, Manassas City police said.

A passing motorist stopped and yelled she was calling police, and the men fled into the common greens area near Byrd Drive and Aspen Place.

The woman and child were not hurt, police said.

Police describe the men as Hispanic, in their late teens or early 20s, of medium builds.

Police said the man who tried to abduct the child was wearing a white T-shirt, red cap, had a ponytail and numerous tattoos. The suspect who went for the purse was wearing a red shirt.

There is no description of the third suspect.

Dale City couple wakes up to burglar in house

A Dale City woman woke up to a burglar touching her and her husband chased the man out of the house Sunday night, Prince William police said.

The man gained entry to the house, in the 13200 block of Nickleson Drive, through an unlocked rear sliding glass door, police said.

Police described him as a white man of thin build with a tattoo on his left arm.
