Nine Woodbridge cars vandalized, tires slashed on Jeffries Road

Nine vehicles had tires slashed by an individual with a knife late Sunday or early Monday morning in the 1400 block of Jefferies Road in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.

Police ask that anyone with information call Crime Solvers at (703) 670-3700. Callers do not have to give their names or testify in court and may receive a reward of up to $1,000 for information that results in an arrest.

Police seek woman involved in hit-and-run

Police are seeking witnesses to a traffic accident that occurred at about 5:50 p.m. Wednesday in Centreville on the Interstate 66 off-ramp to U.S. 29 westbound.

A gold jeep that was stopped at a stop sign pulled in front of a 1992 four-door Lexus car, causing its driver to swerve across the median and into a utility pole.

The 18-year-old driver of the Lexus and two passengers suffered minor injuries, Prince William police said.

The driver of the jeep, described by police as an Asian woman, did not stop and left the scene.

Play fighting leads to real robbery

A teen-ager was robbed of cash after “play-fighting” with six other teen-agers between 8 and 9 p.m. Friday at Georgetown Road and Gloucester Court in Woodbridge, north of Dumfries.

The boy was playing with the other teen-agers when one became serious and hit the boy in the face — then reached into the victim’s pocket and stole cash, Prince William police said.

Vandals break into Woodbridge Middle School

Vandals broke into Woodbridge Middle School early Saturday morning and smashed three glass windows inside the school, Prince William police said.

The school, at 2201 York Drive, sustained $690 in damage including that done to a vending machine window and windows in the auxiliary gym.

Police report one burglary, one attempted

A residence in the 400 block of Mammoth Cave Loop west of Dumfries was burglarized and $635 worth of coins was stolen between March 9 and April 7. Entry was gained through a rear basement window, police said.

A burglar attempted to pry open a rear window of a Darlington Loop house in Woodbridge between April 4 and 7, police said. The window frame and screen were damaged but entry was not gained, police said.

Witnesses observed a male, black, 16 to 18 years old, wearing a hat with ear flaps and red zigzag pattern with blue jeans in the rear of the residence April 5.

Three rob bicycle from Dale City man

A man riding his bicycle was robbed of his bike around 7 p.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of Dale Boulevard in Dale City, Prince William police said.

Three young men, one described as 15 to 20 years old, bald, with a thin build, forced the man to give up his bike by sticking something to his back, police said.

Eleven Manassas cars reported vandalized

Thieves broke into 11 cars sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning in Manassas, stealing and damaging approximately $5,700 worth of property, city police said Monday.

Among the items taken in the break-ins, which occurred in the 8400 block of Quarry Road and the 9000 block of Euclid Avenue, were hand tools, a welding torch, a color TV and a compact disc player, police said.

Manassas police say they found cocaine on wanted man

When Manassas police arrested a man wanted for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle at the Rogers Sunoco at 9600 Grant Ave. on Saturday night, they found cocaine on him, city police said.

Antonio Holgiun, 40, of 8655 Bruton Parish Circle, now also faces charges of possession of cocaine and was held on a $2,500 bond pending a June 6, 2002 court date, police said.

Maryland man reports car stolen from city lot

Someone stole a 1987 Honda Accord from a visitor’s area in the 9700 block of Clark Place in Manassas between 8 and 8:45 p.m. Friday, city police said Monday.

The car, owned by a 28-year-old Silver Spring, Md., man, is white with Maryland plates, HGX-962, police said.
