Group of six assaults man, stabs him in back in Ashdale Plaza parking lot

DALE CITY Six unidentified individuals stabbed a 21-year-old man in the lower back in the Ashdale Plaza parking lot Friday morning, Prince William County police said.

The victim, who was with a friend at approximately 1:40 a.m. when he was approached from behind and stabbed in the 2800 block of Dale Boulevard, was taken to Potomac Hospital and treated for non-threatening injuries, police said. He was unable to describe any of his attackers.

Car wreck victim upgraded to serious condition

FAIRFAX The 34-year-old Manassas woman who slammed into an assisted living center Thursday morning was listed in serious condition Friday, upgraded from her initial critical state, Inova Fairfax Hospital officials said Friday.

Ruth Elayne Werner, who lives in the 10400 block of Brackets Ford Road, was extracted and hospitalized after her 2001 Isuzu Trooper flipped into America House on the corner of Cloverhill Road and Hastings Drive in Manassas.

Teen, 15, assaulted; mountain bike stolen

FAIRMONT Two teen-age boys punched a 15-year-old boy in the face and stole his yellow mountain bike in the 700 block of Nimitz Court Thursday evening, police said Friday.

The robbers are both described as black and 15 or 16 years old, police said. One was 6 feet tall, 160 pounds and wore a blue bandanna, white shirt, blue pants and a stud earring. The other was described as 5 feet 11 inches tall and 200 pounds, police said.

Two teens arrested, suspected of slicing car tires

MANASSAS A pair of 13-year-old boys believed responsible for slicing the tires of as many as five cars was arrested Friday morning, police said.

Following a call from one of the cars owners in the 10000 block of Corydalis Court, city police picked up the teens matching the complainants description on a near-by street, police said. Manassas city police also recovered a screw driver that was likely used in the vandalism, police said.

The boys, both residents of Manassas, were released to their parents, police said.

Woodbridge home burglarized; computer stolen

WOODBRIDGE More than $3,000 worth of cash as well as a computer was stolen from a home on the 1900 block of Partree Court Thursday, police said Friday.

The intruders entered the home by prying open the front door, police said.
